Jacob’s Creek shared the story of vintage 2018 this week through an immersive food and wine event attended by more than 40 bloggers, instagrammers, journalists and editors from around the world.

The global ‘Our Table’ event, brought together people over a glass of wine and great food to share their stories. The four-day event turned the spotlight onto the Barossa Valley as the region at the height of vintage.

The guests met with the team from Jacob’s Creek to get to know more about winemaking, the rich heritage of the winery, alongside a range of food and wine experiences.

The highlight was the ‘Our Table’ dinner at the home of Jacob’s Creek, which saw the global media and influencers originating from 11 countries take a seat under the stars at a native Australian red gum timber table.

Recipes from four of the guests were selected by Jacob’s Creek Head Chef Nik Tucker to be included as part of the menu. Dish contributions came from Swedish Australian blogger Stephanie Kramer, Chinese actress Ning Chang, Thai actress and Celebrity Masterchef winner Wanida Termthanaporn, US photographer and blogger Nicole Franzen and Indian photographer Nayantara Parikh. Each shared the story behind their dish to their fellow guests.

Chief Winemaker Ben Bryant selected a range of wines to match the four contributed dishes, and the broader menu served on the evening.

“Our Table is about sharing stories with good friends, great wine and beautiful food. The dishes contributed by our guests superbly demonstrated their many cultures. It was a very special experience to hear from these guests from such diverse backgrounds about the significance of the dish to them.”

More than 20 ‘Our Table’ events have taken place around the world, since the first global event at Jacob’s Creek in January 2017. The ‘Our Table’ events are part of the emotive ‘Made By’ campaign that shows the people, places and passions that go into crafting the Jacob’s Creek range of wines.
