Gwen by Church Road Wine serves up the taste of Summer at the 2024 ASB Classic
Gwen by Church Road is bringing The Gwen Garden Party to the annual ASB Classic which will take place in Auckland in early January 2024.
Hawke’s Bay’s Gwen by Church Road is partnering with the ASB Classic for the first time, bringing together two iconic brands, each known for their commitment to excellence and passion for creating unforgettable experiences.
Nestled in the middle of The Serve zone, The Gwen Garden Bar is elegant, feminine and refined reflecting the house style of Gwen wines, which include the 2022 Rose, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, best enjoyed on those long hot summer days. Wines and a sophisticated menu can be enjoyed at The Gwen Garden Bar while viewing the matches on the big screen in luxurious outdoor seating.
Tournament goers can expect to spectate both the tennis and the latest fashion trends in The Gwen Garden Bar with leading New Zealand fashion designer Caitlin Crisp dressing the bar hosts and some lucky guests. The partnership with Crisp pays homage to Gwen Church Road’s trailblazing leading lady and the wines’ namesake, Gwen. “We are proud to be an official partner of the iconic tournament,” said Church Road Chief Winemaker Chris Scott
“The Gwen by Church Road collection explores an elegant and refined style of winemaking that we’ve aimed to evolve and master over the years. The subtle stone-fruit and floral notes of the Gwen wines are exceptional and best enjoyed in the summer sunshine, much like the ASB Classic,” continued Scott.
The ASB Classic is returning in 2024 with a forecast of exciting international players, excellent wine and sunshine. The competition spans two weeks with Women’s Week commencing 30th of December until the 7th of January followed by Men’s Week from the 6th until the 13th of January 2023. The Gwen Garden Bar is open each day of the tournament.
