Australia’s leading wine writers scoured local regions in search of top tasting experiences and first-class food. The judges considered and assessed the quality of wine, staff knowledge and service, stemware, food, atmosphere, venue, location and how every element works together to create an immersive Cellar Door experience. Awarded wineries are considered to have a worthwhile tasting, an exceptional restaurant, vineyard and cellar door tour.
Judy Sarris, Editor of Gourmet Traveller WINE, joined this year’s Jacob’s Creek Our Table, a global event that invited 40 representatives from 10 different countries to experience the modern Australian spirit that Jacob’s Creek embodies. Judy commented that the vast array of experiences and wines available, as well as the overall customer experience from staff helped the home of Jacob’s Creek continue to exemplify the best the Barossa Valley has to offer.
“The Barossa Valley is our home, and we’re proud to be leaders in local tourism” said Jo Adamo, Brand Homes and Education Director of Pernod Ricard Winemakers.
The Barossa Valley is a world-renowned wine region, and it’s an honour to be recognised as leaders in the industry amongst great competition.
