Pernod Ricard today announced an agreement has been signed to sell its wine business and assets across Australia, New Zealand, and Spain to Australian Wine Holdco Limited (AWL).  Â
AWL is an ambitious partner fully dedicated to the future success of the wine business and creating a route to market that is dedicated to wine. The intent is for the Pernod Ricard Winemakers business across Australia, New Zealand and Spain to come together with AWL owned Accolade Wines to unite our brands, expertise, and technology and create a new stand-alone, world-leading wine company.
The Kenwood and Mumm Napa brands in the US, as well as the Mumm Terroirs sparkling wine portfolio in the Pacific (Mumm Marlborough, Mumm Tasmania, Mumm Central Otago) will remain owned by the Pernod Ricard Group. Â
Closing of the transaction remains subject to fulfilment of customary closing conditions, including regulatory clearances, and is expected to occur during H2 2025.Â
